Sponsorship Frequently Asked Questions

How much sponsorship cost?

Our sponsorships are $30 per month per child (or a one-off payment of $300) and last for one year. This cost covers all the materials a child needs to get into school, including uniforms, books, equipment, food and any clothes if necessary.

Do I have to sponsor a child for a whole year?

We set up the sponsorships to last for one year so that the child has continuous level of support for a reasonable length of time. At some point during this period, they will need to enroll in the next school year and so will need all the necessary items that are covered within the sponsorship fee.

Sponsorship

Right now the Sponsorship Program is one of the important source of funding for the Ecole Mixte Source d'Espoir (Source of Hope School). The monthly sponsorship gift will cover all the materials a child needs to get into school, including uniforms, books, equipment, food and any clothes if necessary.
In sponsorship, a child is given what is usually his or her only meal for the day––as well as a glimmer of hope and joy.

The entire support of the school program depends on Child Sponsors who pledge $30 per month or more to a fund that provides for the school’s needs—the salaries for the teachers and the staff, materials, clean water, the health clinic, and the feeding program. Over 90% of every dollar goes directly to the school.
